How to get rid of menstrual cramps?

My cramps are really bad.I'm usually bed-ridden for about a day or two after my menstrual cycle starts.I've been to my doctor and I've tried birth control.That didn't help and I also tried birth control patches.There was no change.I've tried everything and I dont know what to do.I am 16 and I need an older woman's advice.Please help.How to get rid of menstrual cramps?
Being sixteen, this may not be the best option for you. I am 22 and my girlfriend often has the same problem. We contacted her doctor, and he said that unprotected sex would greatly lesse the intensity, and length of her periods. But she and i highly recomend you give this a try as soon as possible.
