First you have to turn the water off (valve behind toilet below tank or whole house if necessary) then unscrew the supply line (have a small bucket ready some water will drip) then remove the two nuts that secure the toilet to the floor. Remove as much water from the inside of the toilet as you can (flush it, hold handle until tank is empty, then remove water from bowl with a paper cup). Lift toilet straight up to remove it. Clean the floor flange, replace the wax seal and toilet bolts and replace the toilet (sit on it to squish wax seal down) secure toilet bolts (not too tight or bowl will crack). Reconnect supply line and turn water on. You should be good to go.Plumers? How do i change my toilet system?
Claim on your house insurance, and let someone else worry about it.
You need to be able to turn off the water supply to the toilet. You need to disconnect the overflow. You need to disconnect the toilet pan from the waste pipe (Ugh!) You need new rubber connector for pan to waste pipe.

If the pan and cistern is close-coupled you may need to take off the cistern first.
