How to change background on iPod Touch?

On the iPod touch home screen (not the screen with the ';slide to unlock'; thingy), how do you change that background from black or white? I don't want to jail break my iPod.How to change background on iPod Touch?
You can't change the background. The new iPhone/iPod OS 4 coming out this summer is supposed to allow you to change it from what I've read.How to change background on iPod Touch?
